Redemption – Jon Grahame
Book 3. The last. By far the most intense. The first scene starts with a bang, and that sets the tone for the whole book. It ran through everything I thought I knew, but then it turned me around, upside down ate me whole and spat me out at the other end with my heart in pieces. So much goes on in this and I can’t begin to explain it, because I would ruin the whole book and of course I can’t! So read this series and come back to me so I can divulge all the things I thought and felt throughout.
The style is the same all the way through the series. The characters change and evolve through everything they have seen and done. Character development is so important in these sorts of books because you can’t go through all of that and be the same person you were before. Even the reader will change slightly, you will see the world a little bit differently. I know I did.
I love Reaper and Sandra, they are the heroes I have always wanted in my life when reading. They are both strong people but have moments of vulnerability. They have these heartfelt moments when they just look at one another and you can see everything in their eyes. I didn’t know how this was going to end, and if I’m honest I didn’t fly through it because I knew it was about to end. I didn’t want it to, so I slowed down, even though the pacing was quick and the action was explosive, I read a little bit at a time and drank in the whole thing. Every word. Every line and every emotion, I wanted to feel every emotion possible.
Sometimes you read the first book of a series and you can’t image how the others can even hold up against it. Well, with this series they do. There isn’t one I prefer, there isn’t I dislike more than the others. If I were to re-read one, I would have to re-read the whole series because they just lead on so perfectly, they don’t stop giving.
