Redundancies

It took me a long time to get my head around what this really meant. It’s so common for new writers do not trust the words they write. I understand the pain and heartache you feel when editing and have to take so much out because it just doesn’t belong.

The main culprit is redundant words. Repeated words, or homonyms. They always crop up, for example saying its lovely outside, really nice weather. It actually pains me to type it! But it’s common because you don’t know which one to put, or which one will hold more emphasis. So you just throw them both at it! Just in case.

Well, stop right there! Saying it’s lovely outside, on its own projects nice weather to your audience so trust the words. It all comes with experience, but the more you trust your words the better you will become and the easier the editing will be.

If you guys are still unclear about this topic, please get in touch with me, i can run through it, and give you a few more examples.

Good luck!
