I am excited!

More excited than I have been since, well since my graduation about two weeks ago! But I enjoy these moments of excitement because I can share them with people I love and who really care about books and what they truly stand for.

My writing means a lot to me, it means I can say the things I don't normally say, be the people I wish I could be and experience things I might have the chance to do in my normal life. It gives me a reason to be a little bit anti social. But it also gives me the time to contemplate what my life has given me and how I have grown up, the people I have grown up with. I can say thanks for my family and what they mean to me. I can appreciate my friends and what they mean to me.

Phaser is one of eight books I currently have, the first which is going to be published and soon might I add. I want to share this with every single person out there in the world. I want to tell them how excited and joyful I feel about this. I have been working on this book since I joined NaNoWriMo in 2012. It has changed and evolved into this creation, with incredible characters who I have grown up with and began to understand.

I wanted to follow the life of Maddison Connors because her story is one I have longed to read. A story I needed when I was her age. At seventeen its hard to be in control of anything, people still treat you like a child, when really you feel like an adult. It is a hard time for anyone. I understand who he felt because I felt those feelings as well. Those reservations about having to leave school, not understanding what the real word really meant to me. What I was meant to do.

I am a fantasy writer of course, and it is supernatural beings, with shape shifters and a lot of action. People being changed and attacked, but the heroes are fighting for that one good reason to fight for. Love for the family. Love for friends, and love for who they are as individuals. Maddie is introduced to the world she doesn't understand, never mind didn't know existed. She wanted a new path, just like me, I wished for something different, longed for something exciting to happen to me. I lived Maddie's life as I wrote it. It gave me that exciting adventure.
