HOLIDAY!

So as you probably know I haven't really be around for the past week or so. That is because I was treated to a lovely holiday to the Yorkshire Dales, North Yorkshire. Now, if you have never been, then YOU NEED TO GO! IMMEDIATELY! It truly is a beautiful wondrous place in Britain.

While I was there, I took time out of writing and focused on the other things I enjoy, such as reading, I managed to read the of a trilogy I was slowly getting through. (There will be a review coming from that later in the week!) But I also got back to nature and photography.

In one of my earlier posts I did a section about free writing and how it helps with the creative part of your mind, but so does photography. I forces your head to focus on one thing at a time. In my case I was using the landscape, easiest way to get great pictures, because, well it doesn't move! Very helpful for am amateur photographer. I have to admit a few of the pictures were taken by some of my other family members. You can probably guess because they will be the good ones!

But if you are fascinated by nature and animals like myself, then pick up a camera. Take a walk somewhere else you don't normally go, somewhere you can relax and listen to the birds, hear the wind rattling between the leaves and rustling the grass. Don't think about your writing for a while, don't think at all except for the shots you want to capture.

After an hour or so you will start to feel more relaxed in yourself and in your mind. Everything will be quiet for a while. Quiet is always novelty we laugh bout together when we talk about the ideas that just rock up with their tents and pitch up in your head and refuse to move until you have written the thing!

Trust me, I know the feeling!

But this might just cure the noise, even for a little while. See if it helps you, see if you can just get a few moments peace and quiet. I would suggest taking a few pictures from the scenery around because if you can't go there again or it will be a while before you can get back, the you have something to turn to when it gets too loud.

I hope this has helped. If you want any more information get in touch with me on facebook via this link- https://www.facebook.com/J-A-Myers

Have a good evening and take a look at the pictures on my GALLERY.

Thank you.
