I was going to do another writing based post tonight. But the world has just received some devastating news involving the Ex-Moto GP rider Nicky Hayden, number 69. While on a bicycle training session in Italy a few days after the race in Imola in the World Superbikes Championship. He collided with a car, he was transported to the hospital, it was reported shortly after he had suffered serious injuries, one of which was a brain injury.

It really is hard for me to say this, or even type the words. But just a few hours ago it was stated he had succumbed to his injuries and passed away in the hospital. It is a great emotional blessing to say he was surrounded by his family and so very much loved by his fans all over the world. I give my condolences and thoughts to the family.

I have loved watching Nicky Hayden, or otherwise known as the 'Kentucky kid' to most. Ever since I started watching the GP when I was ten maybe nine years old, I have always enjoyed watching him compete against the biggest names in the sport. He has such an incredible racing record and I know amongst the fans, riders, pit crews, commentary team and interviewers, he will never be forgotten.

Once again, the world has been robbed of another incredible racer and an outstanding person. It will be with a heavy heart I sign off tonight.
